Players can purchase territory on the map, represented on the #server-map channel on discord which allows you to post your own laws, and establish yourself through your owned parcel. Parcel purchases are non-refundable. The gold paid reflects the cost of clearing and settling the lands and the establishment of your base or outpost. If there is an active rift you must close the rift before you can complete the parcel purchase. If you wish to remove creatures that are on your parcel, open a ticket and talk to an admin - some creatures can be removed from your land if you turn in x number of their body parts or through a raid event. You cannot remove spawners or creatures unless you complete your claim for that parcel. For high threat parcels, you must participate in a mini-event or collect items to claim your parcel. The event is generally clan-locked with a few allies to assist. When you post your land claim for a threat parcel that requires an event, the admin team will tell you to provide 3-4 dates and times for the event. The admin team will not be splitting their time on busy days, such as weekends, for locked clan events. If there is no server event or RP event on the weekend, then it may be feasible to schedule a parcel mini-event for the weekend, but that will be the exception, not the rule. Your parcel event will take into consideration the full number of clan members, regardless of whether those are alts or mains.
You do not need to own your parcel before building on it but be aware of neighbors that may be settled on the same parcel with intentions to buy. If you do not make your own claim do not be surprised when others do - and be aware of the rules regarding territory as you could find yourself on a parcel someone else is in the process of purchasing.
PURCHASING LAND
Terms:
Outpost Parcel - the first step in staking a claim for ownership of a parcel.
Standard land claim - this means you follow the standard rules for claiming a parcel - open a ticket, use the proper template, gather items, wait one week, pay the fee.
Threat Parcel - this means the land is dangerous due to occupants or location and must be cleared before you can complete your land claim. This will require an event to clear. You may have to fight player NPCs, and wounds tables are required if you fall. These are marked with a skull and bones icon on the server map.
Established claim - this is a parcel that has already been claimed.
All land claims that are not touching an established claim will require a collection task.
If you attempt to claim a parcel near an established NPC or enemy area, or an area that is inherently dangerous, the parcel will be deemed high threat, and you will have a mini event and my also have a collection requirement for that parcel before you can put in your land claim.
War parcels require a planned war.
PARCEL COUNT
Each clan can buy up to eight (8) parcels. Other means exist through action in game to acquire more than eight (8) parcels, but no clan can ever exceed eight (16) parcels owned.
There are some parcels on the map that cannot be claimed, these are marked in orange. Most of these parcels are not available for player buildings, others are so dangerous that you will likely spend all of your time defending or rebuilding your base. If you wish to settle in an orange parcel, open a ticket to find out if the parcel cannot be settled or if it is merely very dangerous to do so.
Staking your Claim
Confirm the parcel is available for purchase by checking the server map.
If it is unclaimed and not an orange parcel, you may build your outpost, which is the first step for staking your claim. Once this 6 x 6 outpost has been built, screenshot the build and open a land claim ticket in discord using the template. Include in your ticket whether you are waiving keep tile protection.
If there is a skull and bones icon, the parcel is a threat parcel. These threat parcels will always require the clearing of the land through an event.
If the parcel is your first claim and it is not touching an established claim you will have to clear the land and turn in items BEFORE you can begin the timer for your 7 day claim period. Once you make your claim, you will be told what you need to collect. If you have already claimed a parcel, or your claim is touching an established parcel and NOT in a dangerous area, you just need to wait for the 7 day timer to run out and you can then pay for and perfect your land claim. Your claim is not perfected until all of the requirements have been met. If you do not have the items required or the cost for the parcel after two weeks, the parcel claim will be closed as unsuccessful.
Outposts must be at least 6x6x4 (6 wide, 6 long, 4 high) or a total volume of 144 tiles. The outpost does not have to be a separate building if you have a crafting hall or other building on your tile that meets this requirement that will be sufficient to satisfy the outpost requirement.
For your first parcel claim, you must open your ticket, collect the items if required for that parcel, and once the items are turned in, your 7 days will begin.
Your subsequent parcel claims must be touching one of your existing parcels. You will have to wait 7 days from the time you posted your land claim before you can perfect the claim and take ownership of the parcel.
The first claim collection requirement, if there is one, is 25 items x the number of clan members. Subsequent parcel claim costs, if required, will be 25 x the number of clan members, +100 of those items for your 2nd parcel, +200 of those items for your 3rd parcel, and so on.
Your parcels must always touch one of your existing parcels once your first parcel has been perfected unless it is a war parcel.
Many areas on the map are high threat, which will require a mini event to claim the parcel. ALL parcels have wildlife and other threats that may not be immediately visible until after you begin to build your base or outpost there.
Use the following template for initial parcel claim:
Clan Name:
Clan Leader:
Clan Second:
Parcel Location:
Color Hex Code:
Screenshot of your 6 x 6 Outpost
DUAL OCCUPANTS
If there is someone else who has already staked a claim to that territory, you will be told that a claim has been registered and when the claim was made.
If you want to challenge the claim you must do so BEFORE the original claim has been upgraded to a parcel.
Hold the parcel for one week, if nobody has challenged your claim, you can upgrade to a parcel for 25 gold. This only applies if you are the first clan to stake a claim for that parcel. If you are the second then you must either challenge the claim, come to terms with the original claim owner, hide and hope they don’t find you, or move.
Your parcel is not completed until you have upgraded from an outpost to a parcel. If one week has passed and you have not upgraded to a parcel by spending the parcel cost, then you are not protected from challenges.
If there is a challenge to the ownership, an open field battle will determine who can claim the parcel as their own.
You cannot try to stake claim to more than one parcel at a time.
Challenging a claim to land requires the following:
There must be a player or clan that has staked a claim and not upgraded that claim to a parcel purchase.
The one who wants to challenge the claim must build a structure or outpost on the parcel, register their outpost with a ticket in Discord, and, if they wish to challenge the current tenant, they must declare their intent to challenge before the outpost is upgraded to a parcel.
Declarations for Outposts Challenges are to be posted in Discord Warfare channel with the following template:
Declaring Clan:
Declaring Clan Participants (Number):
Target Clan:
Target Outpost Location:
Once the declaration has been made, the clans will have 48 hours to agree to a time and place for the open field battle. The battle does not have to take place on the contested parcel, it can take place in the arena if both parties agree. If there is no agreement, the open field battle will take place on the contested parcel and will be moderated by an admin.
The target clan can pull in allies to assist with the defense of their outpost.
They can only call in a number of allies that would even the numbers of opponents to a 1:1 ratio.
Challengers cannot make use of allies in this engagement.
The losing party can either attempt to enter an agreement with the victor to remain or move from the parcel. A second challenge cannot be issued for the same parcel by the losing party or anyone associated with the losing party.
The losing party will have one week to vacate the parcel unless other arrangements are agreed upon by the parties.
Losses incurred during an outpost challenge are not subject to normal PvP consequences for loss. Once a participant has been defeated, they can no longer participate in the outpost challenge.
If you challenge an outpost and win, you can remove the loser from the parcel, although you are not required to do so. You will then have to hold the parcel as an outpost parcel for one week before you can upgrade to an owned parcel. The date of the outpost victory will begin the one week timer.
PURCHASING YOUR FIRST PARCEL
Your first parcel purchase, if not touching an established claim, will have a collection cost before your 7 day timer can begin. Subsequent parcel purchases may have requirements if they are in a dangerous or high threat area. If not, they will merely require a 7 day wait from the time you post your land claim until the time you pay for the parcel.
Parcel ownership counts as in character information and purchased parcels are displayed on a map in the hub.
When you upgrade from an outpost to a parcel you must do the following:
Pay 25 gold to an admin. You do not need to get permission from an admin before you pay, if your 7 days has run, you can pay to any admin online, screenshot your payment, and post it in your land claim ticket. Once the funds are received, provided you have not paid too soon, your claim will be considered perfected.
You will gain a basement with the completion of your first parcel purchase.
The Synod will provide a broadcast unit to be placed in your main base that is a one-way communication method that will allow the Synod to send emergency announcements to your base. This is not something that you can use for communication, it is only a means for the Synod to broadcast to the clans in the event of an emergency.
Post your clan's rulers and laws in the Territories Channel in Discord (you can also post them on the message board in the marketplace).
Squatters
Squatters who are on a parcel when an outpost is upgraded to a purchased parcel have no right to remain after the parcel purchase. If they want to protect their claim, they must contest the claim before it is upgraded. If they fail to do so then once the parcel is purchased, the parcel owner can serve the occupant with a notice to vacate.
Squatters who build on a parcel that is owned by someone else have no right to remain on that parcel and are subject to a notice to vacate. The parcel owner can choose to allow you to remain but they may place demands or restrictions on you if you remain.
The parcel owner must notify the squatter in a Pippi note on their door AND on discord that they are the owner of the land.
The owner can decide how to proceed. They can enter into an agreement with the squatter, make arrangements for them to move to a different location on the parcel, or order them to leave the parcel completely.
If they opt to evict, the owner must post the notice as stated above.
The squatter has seven (7) days to contact the owner to work out terms of residence or vacate the parcel.
If the squatter fails to respond within the seven (7) days or refuses to leave, the owner can remove the unlawful buildings and displace the squatter.
The parcel owner must open a ticket in discord and provide the screenshot of the notice as well as the date of the eviction notice from discord (Ravens) to the admins. Once the seven days has expired, if there has been no response from the squatter, the owner can request admin assistance.
PURCHASING PARCELS BEYOND THE FIRST
You must have 3 active clan members (not alts) to purchase more than one parcel. This is not waived based on patron status, the members must be ACTIVELY playing on the server. If you do not have three active members, there is not enough manpower to hold and maintain additional land, nor does it make sense to take that land off of the map or away from other players for purchase for a clan with less than 3 active members.
Additional parcel purchases must connect to a clan owned parcel. You may not claim a parcel that is not connected to one of your owned parcels through the normal purchase process.
When purchasing additional parcels, you must follow the same format used to purchase the first, including the outpost construction, seven (7) day hold time, and purchase cost (based on what number of parcels this will make for your clan).
Open a new ticket in discord and use the following template for buying your second and beyond parcels:
Clan:
Clan Leader:
Parcel Location:
From your second parcel onward, additional parcels will increase your building allowance by 1000 per parcel.
Every two parcels you buy after your first parcel will give you an income kit. The distribution of this kit will be left to the Clan Leader to determine.
Territories and Laws do not need to be posted again for additional parcel purchases. You do need to add the subsequent parcel locations to your laws and remove the keep tile protection status from the initial post.
OUTPOST REQUIREMENTS
Every parcel must start with an outpost. Once you have purchased your first parcel you can remove the outpost as long as you have a base built on the parcel somewhere.
Every parcel must ALWAYS have an outpost. If you do not have an outpost, your parcel claim is void. The outpost must meet the following minimum requirements:
Must be in a place that is conducive to assault - cannot be on top of a structure that cannot be reached by war machines or under water.
Must be at least 6 x 6 and fully enclosed.
It can be larger than 6 x 6, but it must be AT LEAST 6 x 6.
All parcel purchases are final and there are no refunds or transfers between admins and clans. Clans and players are free to sell among themselves provided the value of the trade reflects actual value.
If you take a parcel through warfare, it does not count as a purchased parcel for costs. For example, if you own one parcel and you war and get a second parcel, and you purchase your third parcel, it will count as the second purchased parcel for costs.
To purchase your 1st parcel you must have a one (1) person in your clan. To expand by purchasing more parcels you must have a three (3) person clan. Clans under three (3) players may not purchase additional tiles from the hub but may acquire tiles through the other methods available, such as player warfare.
PARCEL PURCHASES
Clans can purchase up to eight (8) parcels, and they can own up to eight (8). The current cost is:
Parcel
Cost
1
25 gold
2
100 gold
3
250 gold
4
500 gold
5
700 gold
6
950 gold
7
1200 gold
8
1500 gold
Every parcel purchased beyond the first will generate income or grant additional building allowance. The cost of purchasing a parcel is the amount of gold required to develop and secure a parcel, and thus that development generates gold to clan leaders.
PARCEL INCOME
Clans or players that own more than one parcel will be able to claim an income kit once per week. This is reflective of having workers and a presence on the land and the residual income that comes from owning land. The parcel income is given to the clan leader and it is up to the clan leader to decide how or if that is spread out among clan members (max clan size is 15 including the clan leader). The admin team will not involve itself in this matter and all disputes should be resolved in character and within the clan itself. The clan leader needs to contact an admin in game after they have purchased their parcels to get the tag to access the parcel income kit. The parcel income is as follows:
