ΒΆ WELCOME TO MAELSTROM
Maelstrom is the official server for the Professions mod. We also house the Maelstrom mod and the Bloodspeaker mod. These are developed and maintained by Chuda Ruri, Bain, Kelt, and Maelstrom. Players will have first access to new items and features and their input and opinions are instrumental in the development of the mod. The Bloodspeaker mod is also tested on this server. Many times spells, abilities and items are put into the Maelstrom and Bloodspeaker mod before they are added to Professions. Generally, players will not have access to these items as they are in testing.
Maelstrom (e)RP PVP Server is a dedicated Host Havoc Ryzen 7950x North American (Dallas) server with 70 character slots. We use custom lore and pull from Howard, Faith and Fervor and other D20 books, Marvel and other official Conan sources as well as our own custom lore. There are some fan sources that are not valid sources of lore. Sites such as Conan lore archives and other fan sites, are not reliable for lore. If you have any question about whether lore you want to use is official, please open a ticket. We are a fantasy server, have functional sorcery and use several mods to add to immersion. Our seasons generally run between three (3) and four (4) months, although they may run for longer if the story warrants it. We usually allow the RP and characters to roll over to new seasons but there may be an occasional time skip if the story requires it.
We focus on interactive role play and long reaching story lines that help bring your character to life. We have professions, player organizations, clans, quests, events, custom dungeons and more.
Staff Positions
If you are interested in a staff position, you can submit an expression of interest and that will let us know that you have an interest. If we see a need that you can fill, you will be contacted. We are not currently sourcing any new staff. When we begin to look at candidates, we will review the expressions of interest that have been submitted. You will be contacted if there is a need we feel you could fill. You are free to confirm that your expression of interest has been received, but we will not contact you unless or until a need arises and you are being actively considered.
All admins are required to learn and assist with all duties of being an admin, including handling player conflicts, speaking and being in voice with the admin team and/or players as necessary, handling tickets, playing story character, building for the new season, moderating events, etc.. If you are uncomfortable with doing all of the things required, you may be better suited applying for a position, with limited responsibilities. One hard requirement that will not be waived is the requirement for all admins to have played a full season, from launch to end, before they will be considered.
