AIR DJANN
Prior to the Great War of the Djinn, the air djinn resided in their own area on the Plane of Air. They are wild and chaotic, but benevolent. Their ruler, an ancient and beautiful noble with white-blue eyes and long flowing white hair is known simply as Djinn Val’el. She ruled the capital city, known as the Citadel of Volaris, with evenhanded justice and an appreciation and acceptance of the chaotic and free nature of her subjects. Rarely did she venture out unless diplomacy demanded it, and even then, it was anyone’s guess as to when or if she would attend general djinn business that did not directly impact Volaris.
This was, of course, before she was imprisoned by the elemental wizards during the annual conclave more than 300 years ago. Her fate is unknown, but many believe she is alive and her powers are being used by the wizard’s Council of the Planes.
Air djann are the descendants of the air djinn that fled the Plane of Air following the Great War. As with all djann, air djann are born to two human parents and they are generally several generations removed from the actual djann of their ancestry. Most who mated with a djann did so without knowing their partner was a djann, and more often than not, once an offspring was conceived, the djinn vanished and had no further contact.

APPEARANCE
- Thin.
- Ice Blue Eyes.
- White Hair.
- Pale or light blue skin.
- Average height and build (IQoL .9 - 1.1).
AGE
- 20 – 200 (100 is middle age; 165 is venerable)
PERSONALITY
- Fickle and Capricious, they often change sides mid-argument or just walk away from an argument or conversation halfway through.
- They rarely keep their word.
- Actively fight against being forced to do anything, as such, they are anti-slavery, not so much because they disagree with it, but because they would disagree with themselves being enslaved.
- Very easily bored and rarely see anything through to its conclusion.
ALIGNMENT
- Leans toward good or evil, but never goes all the way to either side.
SOCIETY
- Air djann prefer to make their homes high in the mountains or anywhere that will give them access to a strong breeze and free-flowing air. They will never live underground and for social settings, they like the hustle of crowded cities.
RELATIONS
- Positive views on gnomes, fey, halflings, half-elves and any other race that is free willed and flighty.
- The don’t like dwarves.
RELIGION
- Most air djann do not worship a deity, although they will send up a quick prayer or make an offering for luck.
